Yacht Master Programme consists under the Department of Marine Transport Services.
Yacht Master Programme
The programme is the discipline providing education and training devoted to give competence on yacht sailing, management and conducting tourism activities on yachts which the yacht masters had. The aim of the program; to train professional crew with competencies of yacht master.
Yacht master education is given according to the curricula in accordance with YÖK criteria and in accordance with the curriculum and guidance of Education and Examination Regulation for Seafarers and Marine Pilots Directive.
Yacht Master Programme is receiving students with “TYT” score and the quota of Yacht Master Programme is up to thirty (30) persons.
Students graduated from Yacht Master Programme and fulfil the conditions of language, are entitled to attend the Yacht Master exams coordinated by “T.C. Ulaştırma ve Altyapı Bakanlığı Deniz ve İçsular Düzenleme Genel Müdürlüğü”(Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure) in regard to “Gemiadamları ve Kılavuz Kaptanlar Yönetmeliği” (Regulation for Seafarers and Marine Pilots). Grads from this programme will be able to work as yacht master on yachts (Up to 499 GRT) belongs to various individuals and/or organizations.

- Advanced Fire Fighting
- Medical First Aid
- Medical Care Training
- Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
- Operational Use of Automatic Radar Plotting Aids (ARPA)
- Navigational Watchkeeping
- Security familiarisation, Designated Security Duties, Security Awareness
- Radar Observation and Plotting Training
- Bridge Resource Management (BRM)
